Student businesses exhibit the drive of MCBy: Natalie Pistole News Editor For most college students, balancing social life, school, extra-curricular activities and hobbies can be hard enough. But Monmouth College’s own Willie Urish and Dustin Looney add even more to that hefty list.
Urish, a junior business major from Williamsville, Ill., has been involved with hunting ever since he was young when he would go hunting with his dad and grandpa. Feeding off of this love and desire for the sport, as a junior in high school, Urish began to do marketing research and decided that he had the ability and drive to start a hunting call business. Magic Morning Custom Calls, a name that came to him as he was on a paper route, involves Urish custom-making turkey and deer calls from different species of wood (both exotic and domestic) that he purchases himself. |
